Submit your fishing photos. Win gear. Get featured.
Every week, fishing.digital picks a winning reader photo. The winner gets a fishing gear prize from one of our manufacturer partners, plus their photo featured in our next weekly report with full photo credit and a link to their social media of choice.
What we’re looking for
Real fishing moments. We want photos that capture what makes fishing special — the catch, the place, the people, the moment. Bonus points for:
- Action shots — fish jumping, hooksets, fighting fish boatside
- Scenic releases — fish at the boat or in the water with a recognizable location backdrop
- Grip-and-grins with a sense of place — angler holding fish with the boat, bridge, marina, or scenic backdrop showing
- Local color — sunrise on the water, the dock at dawn, the kayak loaded up and ready
- Multi-generational moments — dad and kid, grandparents and grandchildren, fishing buddies on a charter
- Specific species and locations we cover — snook, redfish, tarpon, stripers, mahi, you name it
How to enter
- Take or pick a great fishing photo
- Fill out the submission form below — upload the photo, tell us where it was taken, what’s in the picture, and how to credit you

The prize
Each week’s winner gets a fishing gear prize from one of our manufacturer partners, valued at $50 or more. Prizes vary by week — could be a Plano tackle bag, a Penn reel, a YETI tumbler, AFTCO apparel, sunglasses, or terminal tackle. Plus their photo featured prominently in the next weekly fishing report with photo credit and a link to their Instagram, Facebook, or fishing website of choice.
Rules
- Must be 18 or older to enter, or have a parent/guardian’s permission
- You must own the photo (you took it, or it’s a friend/family member’s that you have permission to submit)
- By submitting, you grant fishing.digital permission to use the photo on the site and in our weekly newsletter, with photo credit
- One winner per week, selected by the fishing.digital editorial team
- No purchase necessary
- Open to US residents only for now (we’ll expand if there’s demand)
- Photos must depict legal fishing — no spearfishing of protected species, no illegal harvest, no obviously dead protected species. Catch-and-release photos welcome.
- Family-friendly content only
- fishing.digital reserves the right to disqualify entries for any reason
Photo tips for a winning entry
- Horizontal (landscape) orientation tends to win — fits our site layout better
- Higher resolution = better (1200×800 pixels or larger ideal)
- Good light beats good gear — golden hour (just after sunrise or just before sunset) makes ordinary photos look amazing
- Show the fish AND the place — pure fish-only photos win less often than scenic shots that put you somewhere
- Don’t filter heavily — natural color photos do better than heavily-processed ones
